Ah, now this was our Mittenwald dinner, at a great underground joint called the
Alpenrose. Before dinner, we had resolved to order something that we couldn't really tell
what it was, but we knew it had a lot of meat. Keywords like "wurst" would
help us in this quest.
This is what we got. Let's have a look around. The brown thing in the foreground is a nice
rare beef steak; oozing off the right side of it is a slab of creamy, herbed cheese.
Immediately to its left is, I believe, a pork chop. To the left of that, barely visible beneath
the heavily consomméed vegetables, is a slab of veal. Overlaying the beef and pork steaks is, obviously,
a very large sausage of unknown animal origin. Finally, topping that is some bacon. Oh, and corn. And of course, this
dish would not be properly German if it didn't come with fries. And beer.
